Assistant buyer

OBJECTIVE:
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join our purchasing team. In order for our purchasing team to strengthen, we are looking for someone who will be responsible as described below. Moreover, it is our explicit aim to develop and train the job holder so that a promotion to the junior buyer position can be given after 1 - 3 years (depending on performance).
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supplier scouting
Finding potential new suppliers, collecting available information on factories
Monitoring supplier onboarding to our Vendor Management System (VMS)
• Tracking of raw material prices, informing the team in case of significant changes
• Management of BSCI audits of suppliers
Onboarding new suppliers to BSCI
Booking of audits
Uploading and distributing audit reports
Follow-up of improvement measures together with the inspection teams in Shanghai and HCMC
• Support the purchasing team
Collecting and sending product samples and documents
Creating cost comparisons and other analyses
Creating purchase orders, maintain order confirmations
Travel Scheduling
• Support the analytics team
Extracting data from ERP and controlling systems
Consolidating and cleaning data extracts
Creating standard reports and customized analyses
• Participate in internal projects
• Data maintenance
Updating prices, payment terms, and other master data in ERP system
Updating information in VMS, including follow-up with suppliers
• Other tasks assigned by the superior
