Job Purpose
The Assistant Retail Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily sales floor operations, delivering excellent customer service, supporting merchandising activities, and leading retail staff to achieve sales targets and operational standards. The role ensures a premium shopping experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Operation & Customer Service
Provide professional customer service by attending to customers individually and advising on products, fashion trends, wardrobe coordination, and product usage.
Actively apply up-selling and cross-selling techniques to achieve sales targets.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding customer preferences and handling inquiries or complaints professionally.
Support daily sales floor operations and collect market/customer feedback for reporting purposes.
2. Merchandising & Inventory Control
Support visual merchandising activities to ensure attractive product presentation and brand consistency.
Monitor merchandise quality, pricing, stock inventory, product origin, and compliance with company standards.
Control stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Monitor fast/slow-moving items, damaged merchandise, and out-of-stock situations, ensuring proper replenishment and reporting.
3. Staff Supervision & Training
Supervise retail staff and promoters to ensure operational effectiveness and service quality.
Provide coaching and on-the-job training on customer service, selling techniques, product knowledge, grooming standards, and business etiquette.
Monitor attendance, discipline, grooming, and staff performance; provide feedback and recommendations to management.
4. Safety, Security & Housekeeping
Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures, including fitting room control and loss prevention.
Report suspicious activities or shoplifting cases promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards of sales areas, showcases, fixtures, and merchandise displays.
5. Administration & Compliance
Prepare and maintain daily/monthly sales reports and attendance records.
Conduct market research and stay updated on market trends and competitor activities.
Support preparation of internal documents, payment processes, and administrative tasks as required.
Ensure compliance with company rules, regulations, and confidentiality policies.
Perform other duties assigned by the Company.
Yêu cầu
Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
Minimum 3 years of retail experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Experience in MNC or premium retail environments is an advantage.
Good command of English in both speaking and writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong customer service mindset with passion for delivering excellent shopping experiences.
Strong communication, interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-handling skills.
Good problem-solving ability and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
High sense of responsibility, integrity, teamwork spirit, and attention to detail.
