* Main purpose of the position:
Associate Manager, Health & Safety (H&S) - Commercial is responsible for implementing and overseeing Carlsberg's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, processes, and tools across the commercial function and stay alone office at the country level. This role ensures compliance with regional and global EHS agreements, supports the deployment of group EHS strategies, and fosters a strong safety culture within commercial teams.
* Job responsibilities:
People Management
• Leadership role ensuring compliance to HSSE within the Country
• Supports developing Country's commercial HS program and improvement plan
• Responsible to ensure all required HS training is completed and in compliance with all standards and policies related to HS
• Coordinate and support other HSSE members and other teams in line with departmental and individual plans (competencies and skills)
• Facilitates commercial managers and employees training and development (awareness, behavior) in HS.
• Lead and drive HS ambassador team to implement the HS program.
• Influence all commercial team to enhance HS awareness at all levels.
• Work with the Commercial team to assess and manage risks associated with client site visits, including understanding client-specific safety requirements.
Process Management
• Provide detailed HS input into function Long Term Development Plan (LDP) process.
• Advise and support the commercial management team on all HS issues within their areas of responsibility (incl. accidents investigations, risk assessments)
• Monitor, track and ensure legal compliance for the Commercial function
• Stop work in any area if conditions are unsafe (Stop work authority)
• Consult and drive HS event at country level.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure Commecial representatives are knowledgeable about the safe handling and use of products, including any necessary safety data sheets (SDS) and compliance with regulations.
Performance Management
• Role model in leading and driving HS KPIs within commercial function.
• Ensure HS KPIs are implicitly understood and managed efficiently at an appropriate level
• Responsible for HS data reporting at the Country commercial function
• Initiates local HS performance reviews , identify trends , initiates and participates in problem solving activities
• Proposing and managing annual financial budget for HS activities of commercial function
• Supporting and advising Department managers in HS improvement projects ( related to OPEX and CAPEX)
Functional Specific Management
• Conduct field observations, inspections, coaching and guidance, 25% of time minimum in the field
• Control and drive the safe driving program, analysis the at risk behaviour and consult the improvement action as monthly basic
• Supports Senior HSSE Manager and Management teams liaise with service providers and contractors to ensure their compliance with local systems
• Responsible to implement the local plan of EHS audits
Acts as a member of the country EHS network : share significant incidents and lessons learned, share expertise , participate in cross audits
• Consulting & expertise on CapEx projects
• Support and advise the local Crisis Management Team or/and Emergency Response Team in case of critical or serious H&S or E incident
• Driving Carlsberg excellence development in the area of responsibility.
