Role Description

We are looking for an articulate, driven and highly organised Brand Strategist to join our Greater China team.

We are looking for a Brand Strategist with a strong analytical mind to craft compelling brand stories and strategies that drive shared value. The right candidate will understand that brand building is changing, and recognise the importance and relevance of sustainability strategies in the brand development process.
The Brand Strategist's responsibilities include conducting extensive research, analyzing findings, making recommendations, presenting to clients and briefing creatives. You should be a strategic thinker and have the ability to uncover insights that inform strategy development.
You should be passionate about building brands that make a genuine and positive contribution to our society and our environment.
Brand Strategist Responsibilities
- Conducting extensive primary and secondary research.
- Staying up-to-date on consumer research and market trends.
- Analyzing market research, data and trends.
- Creating competitive reviews and positioning analyses.
- Identifying insights, challenges and opportunities for brand building
- Understanding the fundamentals building blocks of a Sustainability Strategy and interested in learning how this can impact on brand strategies.
- Supporting in project research with the sustainability practice team.
- Developing brand architecture, positioning and strategy.
- Meeting and presenting to clients.
- Briefing and collaborating with creative teams.
- Leading ideation and brainstorming sessions.
- Assist in developing new business through the creation of compelling proposals that demonstrate clear thinking and strategic acumen.
Brand Strategist Requirements
- Degree in business, marketing, branding, communication or related field such as Journalism is required.
- A demonstrated appreciation, and interest in, helping build sustainable brands.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience leading client meetings.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Creative and compelling storyteller.
- Strong research skills.
- Strategic thinker.
- Excellent presentation skills.
About You
- At least 3 years of experience working in brand building agency or consultancy.
- Proven project management skills, including scoping out new projects and contributing to proposals
- Capable of managing and delivering the full cycle of projects, from proposal development to strategy to design and creative expression.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, whether it be to communicate a project schedule or crafting an inspiring brief
- Experience in managing external vendors such as research partners, copywriters, and video production and digital production.
- You're a great communicator, and have good spoken and written English and Putonghua.
- You're calm under pressure, and can juggle multiple priorities and tasks
