As a Strategic Partner to the Japanese General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in both leading new business initiatives in the HR domain and building the foundation for our company's organizational operations.
Your mission consists of two main pillars:
1. New
Business Development: Go beyond formulating HR business strategies build a path to monetization through hypothesis-driven execution and validation.
- Lead the full cycle from identifying market needs in Vietnam to developing and validating business hypotheses
- Design and execute sales strategies, including target segmentation and outreach approaches
- Drive business operations in collaboration with the GM, including legal review and coordination with external partners
2. Organizational Management: Build organizational systems that maintain speed and agility while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Plan and support the implementation of HR policies and operational improvements.
- Identify and structure organizational challenges, and support the planning and execution of corrective actions.
Japanese proficiency at JLPT N2 level or above, with the ability to lead meetings in Japanese
Experience in a leadership role or above, managing team members and driving business operations
Experience in launching new businesses or driving business growth at a startup
Foundational knowledge of HR
A strong willingness to learn and grow independently, even in highly uncertain environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Foundational knowledge of labor laws, taxation, and social insurance (HR/Compliance basics).
- Basic financial literacy, including a fundamental understanding of P&L and Balance Sheets (B/S).
- Proven track record of driving business operations in close collaboration with senior leadership (e.g., Japanese CEO or General Manager).
- Strong ability to identify cross-functional challenges and drive solutions by effectively engaging and aligning various stakeholders.
