1. Camp Counselor Position:
- Serving as a positive role model for youth.
- Running a variety of small and large group activities for students, Activities may include rafts, nature, orienteerings, relay races, songs, games, opening and closing ceremonies. This includes time spent on the bus.
- Encouraging student participation, and providing information to students regarding activities.
- Attending the training and planning week before the camp session begins.
- Assisting in maintaining program records including incident reports and attendance.
- Taking responsibility for the safety of students and reporting any issues or problems to the Camp Director.
- Dealing with problems and emergency situations should they arise.
- Attending scheduled meetings throughout the program.
2. Camp Logistic Position:
- Serving as a positive role model for youth.
- Ensuring that all logistical systems are in place, as well as keeping track of all the logistical duties.
- Direct the unpacking of camp supplies
- Ensure supplies for each day are prepared well in advance
- Complete pre-camp inventory and appropriately distribute camp supplies
- Complete post-camp inventory and communicate next camps logistical needs
- Attending a training and planning week before the camp session begins.
- Dealing with problems and emergency situations should they arise.
- Attending scheduled meetings throughout the program.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
