Chemical Engineer

General Purpose of the Position
Manage, guide and support PU team to ensure the quality and reliability of
material for the sample production and mass production
Job Responsibilities/duties
• Execute chemical/compound/technology developments by delivering insights into mass manufacturability in bottom unit (outsole/midsole) performance for a portfolio of projects
• Manage assigned research and development trials of new projects and concepts through development, testing, validation, scaling plans, and confirmation of new materials technologies
• Ensure product performance integrity to determine testing needs/criteria, explore new test methods that relate to Polyurethane experience, understand results and make decisions based on findings and learnings
• Ensure product quality by collaborating with Tooling Engineering and Quality Assessment teams at all stages of the creation process
• Based on production planning follow up on the production related to the chemical processes
• Working closely with Quality team and Planning team to arrange and follow up resigned sample and formula to ready for mass production.
• Work close with Dev/Lab to follow testing result during development stages and have a promptly action plan
• Working closely with suppliers for the compound formular, technology and proper material by product development.
• Coordination and follow-up with Development team for all color/material related topics
• Make/order and follow up purchase request for related material/color/other chemicals related to PU manufacturing process and project applications
• Control all the chemical processes from development stage to mass-production
