Chief Accountant

SEV is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead our accounting team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. As a key financial leader at SEV, the Chief Accountant will oversee all accounting and financial activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role will be instrumental in driving financial performance, maintaining tax and regulatory compliance, and leading a high performing accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial and Accounting Management
• Oversee the monthly closing process, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with VAS and SEV's managerial requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures to drive efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Manage general ledger activities, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and asset inventory processes.
• Present accurate and timely financial statements to company management and relevant authorities.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
• Advise on adequacy, content, and structure of the Company's economic contracts.
1. Management Accounting
• Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with senior management and department heads.
• Develop financial models and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making, cost analysis, and performance improvement.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend effective control measures.
• Supervise and evaluate the efficiency and performance of the accounting team.
2. Leadership and Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and fostering professional growth.
• Implement training programs to improve team skills and performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other department heads to align financial goals with operational objectives.
3. Tax compliance
• Ensure full compliance with Vietnamese tax laws and regulations.
• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, and payroll-related taxes.
• Work closely with external auditors to facilitate audits and address recommendations.
4.Cash Management
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize working capital.
• Evaluate spending patterns, analyze costs, and recommend measures for improved cost efficiency.
• Oversee the implementation and evaluation of financial plans on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Process Improvement and Other
• Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting software and financial reporting systems.
• Provide accounting data and reports to relevant stakeholders and government agencies as required.
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes within the accounting department.
• Assist the Board of Directors with other tasks and strategic initiatives as needed.
