Cost Accountant

The cost accountant is responsible for recording, calculating and analyzing the costs relating to the product manufacturing process. The main task of the cost accountant is to collect and process data about materials, labor and other production costs. The cost accountant must calculate detailed costs for each product unit, monitor fluctuations in cost factors and evaluate the efficiency of resource use. The cost accountant is also responsible for preparing cost reports to provide information for business planning and management decision making.
Detail job:
- Monitor details of the receiving and issuing process of raw materials as well as finished products daily. Check warehouse receipt and issuance sheets and update them in accounting software.
- Control the consumption of production materials, ensuring compliance with prescribed norms.
- Prepare and control inventory reports.
- Carry out regular and periodic inventory physical counts. Analyze and find reasons for discrepancies between actual inventory reports and books.
- Monitor the quantity of raw materials used for export production, compare with the raw material norms declared to customs.
- Gather all production costs including raw material costs, labor costs and other general production costs as a basis for calculating product costs.
- Organize the assessment of the works in process, as a basis for fully and accurately accounting production costs in the period.
- Record accounting entries relating to costs into accounting software
- Control all costs for each product corresponding to each production order. Calculate standard costs and compare actual costs with standards
- Calculate and allocate depreciation of fixed assets, tools and other prepaid expenses
- Accounting and allocation of salary costs
- Assist Chief Accountant in preparing annual company budget
- Carry out statistical reports, management reports and other tasks when requested by the chief accountant.
