Work with the largest life insurance company in Vietnam as Data Analytics Manager. Harness the data generated from sales and transactions to 1.4 million existing customers, 1.8 million policies and from activity of hundred thousands of sales agents, develop insights that can be translated into actions that drive business growth at different areas (Agency/Partnership Distribution, Product Development, Operations, Customer service, Fraud detection)

Job Responsibilities: include but not limited

Data analytics:

Mine and analyze data from company and third-party databases (if & where applicable) to drive optimization and improvement of key business / operations metrics
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata
Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements
Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets using machine learning techniques
Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes
Helping develop reports and analysis from single or multiple systems using BI (Business Intelligence) tools such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau etc
Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Work with analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition / retention, distribution channel performance & optimization, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics that can lead to transformation initiatives that can drive superior customer experience
Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines

Risk Management:

Be responsible & accountable for planning/execution of business objectives in conformity with risk management requirements and compliance with all internal and external regulations
Ensure that data usage, management, production & analysis is done in accordance with Risk & Compliance guidelines

Job Requirements:

Qualification: Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field; a Master's is a plus, Formal data analytics / data science certification (e.g IBM Data Science Professional Certificate, Amazon AWS Certified Big Data, Microsoft AZURE Big Data and Analytics Certification etc) is a plus Experience / Knowledge 5 to 7 years' experience in manipulating data sets and building data reports, BI & statistical models as a data analyst or in a similar role, hands-on experience using the following software/tools:

Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: PowerBI
Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases and using statistical computer languages: SQL, SAS, Python, R, etc.
Experience working with Azure Databricks and advance level of MS Office (Excel, Access, PPT).
Knowledge and experience in Life Insurance is added value
Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc. is added advantage
Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers: Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Coremetrics, Adwords, Crimson Hexagon, Facebook Insights, etc will be added advantage
Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering etc will be an added advantage.
Coding knowledge and experience with several languages: C, C++, Java, Javascript etc will be an added advantage

Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets

Skills: Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets, strong data reporting skills, strong applied statistics skills, reliable and highly accountable for projects, supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment, good communication skills, strong people & stakeholder management skills, good scripting and programming skills, data-oriented personality
