Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Deputy
Purchasing Manager role based in Hanoi.
The Deputy Purchasing
Manager supports the Purchasing Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing procurement activities for medical supplies, equipment, and general hospital materials. Daily responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating vendors, negotiating pricing and contracts, processing purchase orders, and monitoring delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of inventory. The role also involves maintaining accurate purchasing records, collaborating with clinical and administrative departments to understand requirements, and supporting budget control and cost-optimization initiatives.
The Deputy Purchasing
Manager contributes to improving procurement processes, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and relevant regulations, and assisting in managing vendor relationships and performance.
Qualifications
Experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in healthcare, hospital, or related industries.
Strong skills in vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and cost analysis.
Ability to manage inventories, track purchase orders, and maintain accurate procurement documentation.
Proficiency with office software and purchasing or ERP systems; strong Excel skills are beneficial.
Solid understanding of basic finance and budgeting principles related to procurement.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Demonstrated integrity and adherence to ethical standards in vendor and contract management.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience in a supervisory or deputy role in purchasing is an advantage.
