Job Description

Do you want an exciting and developing job in one of the biggest construction sites in Vietnam? This is an amazing opportunity to work for a brand-new LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam (LMV)!

If you have the relevant background and the passion towards EHS our great brand than this is an outstanding opportunity for you to come onboard and join our team! The role is ideal for someone who has strong construction project experience and who wants to involve in creating this fantastic new factory in Binh Duong.

Core Responsibilities

Undertake safety compliance evaluations, inspections, and audits (top priorities for this role).
Work closely with Stream Owners and members to ensure smooth coordination between Civil and Construction operations.
Collaborate closely with Project Security and Sustainability Leads to align Safety-Security-Sustainability agenda for the project.
Demonstrate safety leadership, credibility, delivering through others and establishing last relationships while keeping the project abreast of new developments and adopt standard processes.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to enhance impact, influence and raise the safety standards of the project to achieve business targets.
Maintain core areas of expertise, imparting safety knowledge, monitoring safety performance to project manager, consultant, and general contractor to ensure that they achieve business objectives and aid the project development.
Provide advice and interpret project contractual and statutory requirements and obligations to protect the project's integrity and company's reputation.
Required to be on site permanently to ensure construction is progressing smoothly without major safety issues. Preferably to reside near to the site for easier access and timely responses.

This role will be transitioned to Manufacturing EHS once the construction project completes. The new responsibilities are:

Drive safety attitude of local colleagues
Carrying out the tasks assigned to the scope of work in the regulations related to the EHS system in an operations area
Preparing risk assessments and supervising their follow-up
Receiving and validating new machines and technologies
Provision of safety training and repeated training for new employees or for other colleagues
Represents the factory in global workshops and projects, contribute to global standard processes
Carrying out and evaluating actions related to accidents, incidents, quasi-accidents, safety observations
Collecting, analysing, and reporting data related to occupational health and safety

Play your part in your team succeeding

This role is essential to support the Global Workplace Projects to build the new Factory. There will be challenges coordinating the efforts from Europe and Asia, to get the factory started on time. The individual reports directly to the QEHS Director and defacto Program Lead for LMV.

Do you have what it takes

Bachelor or Master degree in Environmental, Health & Safety is preferred
A registered / licensed safety officer as per local Vietnamese Regulation Requirements.
Experience from working in international and / or multinational companies will be preferred.
Experience of local construction approvals, regulations, permit processes.
Knowledge in legal and commercial aspects within building industry, as well as local safety regulations requirements.
Minimally 10 years of safety experiences in high-risk industries such as construction, mining, oil, and gas.
Strong leadership and project management qualities and has been involved in renowned projects in Vietnam or Asia.
Good understanding of local and international ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Standards
Solid experience and understanding in machine safety requirements and newest Machinery Directive is preferred
Having experience and or a keen interest in manufacturing EHS is preferred
Fluent in written and spoken Vietnamese and English.

Nhà máy này đã hoàn thành 26% tổng khối lượng xây dựng trong giai đoạn 1 và sẽ có 4.000 việc làm mới được tạo ra trong vòng 15 năm tới. Tập đoàn này đang tiến thêm một bước để hướng đến việc hoàn thành xây dựng nhà máy trị giá 1,3 tỷ USD tại Việt Nam. Ngoài ra, Lego cũng đang chuẩn bị lao động, nhân sự để vận hành nhà máy và dự kiến sẽ có khoảng 100 người được tuyển dụng trong những tháng cuối năm 2023 và tăng lên 500 người trong năm 2024 để đảm bảo đi vào sản xuất trong nửa cuối năm 2024.

Số lao động được tuyển dụng để vận hành nhà máy dự kiến nâng lên tới 4.000 người, tạo ra việc làm và nguồn thu đáng kể cho ngân sách.
