Roles & responsibilities
• Makes a good planning for personnel, together with planning department. Organize workers and make sure workers inside the farm are used for full potential.
• Manage all aspects in the farm and make sure all production protocols are followed
• Takes care of that materials are purchased in time and that purchase materials are controlled and approved before handing over to purchase department.
• See how to use fertilizers and chemicals and make sure losses are minimized.
• Set up fertilizer and chemical schedules for all crops
• Make a long term purchase plan for fertilizers and chemicals, so we can buy bulk for better pricing.
• Be responsible to guide your team in a professional way; and implement human resources talent development plan to your subordinate.
• Check if all facilities are in good condition
• Communication with consultant companies

1 Take care of all the crops and make sure they are grown under the best conditions with the tools available
Do trials to see if seed quality can be improved.
Make a proposal for tools needed to improve the quality of seeds
2 Based on the production plan, arrange the labor to the different greenhouses.
Higher efficiency in the production, monitor constantly how work is done and see how efficiency can be improved.
3 Implement the quality handbook and make sure protocols are followed.
See where improvements can be made and suggest to QA
4 Based on the production plan, make a purchase plan for all materials needed for production
Based on past experience, make a budget for production on yearly base.
5 Set up a scouting team and implement the IPM system. This to improve the environment of the crops and keep the plants healthier.
6 Make fertilizer schedules for different crops and adjust when needed. Based on the schedules, make a purchase plan for long term
7 Training to supervisors and team leaders
8 Check all facilities and report when any problem
9 Set up a good administration on crop base, so we learn of what we do and look back in case of quality problems. This can be by the field book, but also by other information relevant, eg climate and irrigation computer.
10 Write weekly crop report and send to external consultants and internal relevant people.
