Purpose of Role:
• FDM Supervisor owns the process related to materials (ingredients-packaging) and finish product BOM, (Bills of Materials) finalization.
• Owns the Product Data Repository (PDR) system and makes sure product formulation is built as per PVM global guidelines (naming convention and structure)
• Responsible for maintaining up to date product BOMs in PDR and SAP system
• Oversee the product formulas costing by closely working with finance controlling team and drives product formulas cost reduction, harmonization and standardization to improve company profitability and operational complexity reduction
• It is the point of contact with material suppliers to gather technical information requested by regulatory and QA team to ensure country compliance and to sustain marketing claims
• Work closely with the Research and Development (R&D) team to finalize new product development recipes or modifications to existing recipes
Key Accountabilities/ Job Description:
1. Recipe Oversight:
a. Supervise the procedures, timing, and issuance of edible, packaging, and ingredient BOMs
b. Ensure that BOMs are generated and maintained efficiently, meeting the required standards and deadlines.
2. Recipe Logic Management:
a. Oversee the logic used to process edible, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established processes.
b. Generate recipes of edible part in PDR for new products or modification of existing recipes according to what we are doing on the production floor: BOM adjustment, Scrap Factors, Stickiness Factors.
c. Ensure any revision in logic and naming or any guidelines from Group levels are communicated to all users and implemented.
d. Share the updated status of the compliance level of PDR recipe logic to Group R&D.
3. Recipe and Raw Material Review:
a. Ensure a continuous and thorough review process for recipes and the management of raw material documents.
b. Guarantee data accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
4. Team Management:
a. Manage and supervise all activities conducted by the Product & Technology (P&T) Data Management Team in Vietnam.
b. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members to achieve department goals.
5. Product Data Repository (PDR) System Management:
a. Oversee the management of the Product Data Repository (PDR) system at the raw materials, edible, and packaging levels in Vietnam.
b. Ensure the PDR system's effectiveness and data integrity.
6. Recipe and Raw Material Review:
a. Receive, verify, and maintain accurate records of edible recipes within the designated systems (Excel files to SharePoint/SAP/PDR)
b. Consolidate usage level of ingredients in existing recipes in support for further evaluation/study at Group level in term of material compliance.
c. Involve in managing the change of current recipes include materials, quantity, and formulas by providing assessment for Ingredient list and product claim impact. Working with cross functional teams including Regulatory and QA for further assessment if needed.
d. Together with R&D managers, Senior RM Specialist provides insights about BOM quantity of edible part for monthly review of efficiency and saving calculations.
7. Formula Costing:
a. Along with finance controlling team consolidate and maps the BOM costing, including material consumption, and standard material losses
b. Participate to the monthly efficiency variance operational meeting to identify the gaps and purpose continuous improvement activities
c. Work with the operation team to map the year on year standard cost reduction strategy to improve company profitability
d. Prepare RM BOMs to reflect any necessary changes for annual Budget.
8. Ensure recipe compliance:
a. Ensure to check RM compliance through confirmation from suppliers and proceed preliminary additive limitation assessment following global regulatory direction
b. During the development of a new recipe, together with R&D team do the preliminary analysis for the maximum limits of additives and country conformity.
c. Proactively embracing the updated regulatory requirement by evaluating the impact on current recipes and driving for the compliance of new regulation implementations.
9. Documentation and Certifications:
a. Collect technological information from R&D and relevant teams (QA, P&D), Suppliers to prepare technical documents for logistics, product registrations.
b. Provide to Regulatory with necessary technical information (BOM, CoC, Products technical datasheets, RM Compliance) for product labeling and risk assessment in case of extend exporting markets, renew product labels, registration.
c. In case of any recipe updates, ensure the information is communicated to markets through NPD team and continue to provide updated technical documents.
Yêu cầu
• Experience in Product formula/recipe, Bill of Material (BOM) management in FMCGs and ideally food industry
• Knowledge of food industry standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of SAP system
• Expert in data management and data analytics to drive continuous improvement actions
• Fluent in verbal and written English is required
