Footwear Developer Intern

At a Glance:
As a Footwear Developer, you will be responsible for the entire development and commercialization process of new and existing footwear from an approved design brief in collaboration with factory development, commercialization, and technical teams. You will have the unique opportunity to build the first On development team in Vietnam while working closely with the product creation team in Switzerland.
Your Team:
We're responsible for creating innovative products for On. We have to try and meet the needs and demands of runners.
Your Mission:
• Learning inline development processes (LR1, LR2, FLR, STS, Comm handover), verticals at On.
• Work closely with Partner and HQ team to develop TN, NU, SMU, NC projects from brief to box.
• Maintaining the key aspects of project during development.
• Key materials and components at On.
• Relation of product design, construction, materials, components to function, aesthetic, duty compliance, fit and product margin.
• Be able to review CBD and offer cost saving options.
• Support supervisor in term of managing models timeline with Partner & HQ.
• Following up with Partner and HQ in term of color matching issues of NC projects to ensure hitting Buy Ready.
• Be able to foresee and offer solutions in case of potential BR delay.
• Working with PLM Coordiantor to audit the BOM and request Material code on PLM.
• Learning ON's testing methods (material, finish shoe, fit and durability) and standards and be able to suggest solution for each failed item.
• Attend On/Offline meeting with Partner and HQ.
• Learning about Development Calendar and analyzing ITP from HQ.
• Learning how to keep the aligment of model concept and information by master of bi-lateral communication.
• Managing issues and be able to offer right solution.
• Learning how to use Centric system.
• Cooporate with cross functional teams to ensure product is developed in arcordance with ON's perspective , concept and in timely manner.
• Understand ON's Best Practice and ON's DNA.
