Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to join our development team. You will contribute to building and enhancing C2C matching platforms that serve clients globally. This role offers the opportunity to work on products that directly impact business success and user engagement across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a collaborative development team and accurately understand technical requirements and specifications communicated by the Development Director (based in Japan)
- Write clean, efficient code that aligns with UI/UX design specifications, working closely with the Backend team
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and maintain consistent coding standards across the team
- Perform unit testing to validate code functionality and prevent defects
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, implementing corrective measures
- Contribute to continuous improvement of frontend architecture and user experience
- Participate in agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Must-Have:
- 2+ years of professional experience in web system development
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in team environments
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub)
- Solid working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Understanding of asynchronous programming and ES6+ standards
- Practical experience with ReactJS and NextJS
- Familiarity with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or [protected info]
- Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON
- Ability to communicate effectively with international teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
- Background in backend development (full-stack perspective)
- Experience developing technical documentation and internal training materials
- Mentorship experience with junior and mid-level engineers
- Knowledge of AI-assisted coding tools
- Involvement in architectural and technical decision-making processes
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools (Jest, Cypress, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques
- 1 day per week work-from-home (WFH) flexibility
