I. KEY JOB DUTIES
- Concept & Prototype Development: Research and select innovative ideas to create prototypes that deliver exceptional player experiences within the puzzle genre.
- Game Design Documentation: Translate gameplay ideas into comprehensive Game Design Documents.
- System & Economy Design: Design and balance core game systems, in-game economy, and difficulty progression.
- Level Design: Create engaging levels specifically for puzzle games.
- Performance Analysis & Improvement: Monitor and analyze game performance and user data to enhance existing features and improve key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead collaborative efforts with other designers, artists, and engineers to transform game concepts into high-quality products that drive strong player engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Quality Assurance: Continuously review development progress to ensure the final product meets high-quality expectations.
- Feature Enhancement & Delivery: Improve existing features or deliver new features to existing games to increase KPI metrics.
- A/B Testing & Insights: Lead A/B testing initiatives to gain insights and share findings with the team.

- Backlog Planning (Refinement/Grooming):
- Break down Game Design Documents into smaller, manageable components.
- Set goals, prioritize, and assign issues and related tasks for each sprint.
- Sprint Planning & Review: Prepare necessary documentation before meetings.
II. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT / SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES
KNOWLEDGE
- Strong understanding of game mechanics, game flow, and game design tools.
- Proficiency in analytics, statistics, and probability.
- Skilled in prototyping and ideation.
- Knowledge of game statistics and tracking.
Plus points if you have:
- User psychology, biology
- Statistic in casual games (hybrid monetization model)
- Background in technical or programming
- Knowledge about Mobile game market, game trending especially in casual and puzzle genre
ABILITIES
- At least 3 years of experience in a Game Designer or similar role.
- Highly motivated, self-organized, and results-driven.
- Proactive in identifying and solving issues.
- Possesses a keen eye for detail.
- Passionate about playing and creating games.
- Strong sense of responsibility and a collaborative team spirit.
- Able to balance player focus, innovation, and effective decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Open to self-critique and accepting feedback from others.
Plus points if you have:
- Experience shipped one or more puzzle/casual games
- Game balancing, including in-game economies and difficulty progression
- Ability to create a prototype by yourself with any creation software or game engine (Unity3d, cocos, Game Maker,...)
- A dedicated balance between left/right brain
