JOB DESCRIPTION
Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:
Create, maintain, and update Bills of Materials for furniture products,
ensuring accuracy and alignment with production needs and design
specifications.
Cost Analysis:
Analyze production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, and
identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on product quality.
Pricing Support:
Collaborate with the sales and procurement teams to provide accurate cost data
for pricing decisions and ensure competitive pricing strategies.
Material Sourcing:
Work with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure that materials listed in
the BOM are sourced at the best prices, within quality standards, and delivered
on time.
Cost Tracking and Reporting:
Monitor actual costs against estimates, track variances, and generate regular
reports to inform management about cost performance and areas of concern.
Cost Forecasting:
Assist in budgeting and cost forecasting for production, helping to predict
future cost trends and identify potential risks.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to the BOM creation process, cost
calculation methodologies, and overall cost efficiency in furniture production.
Collaboration:
Work with design, production, and engineering teams to ensure that the BOM is
accurate and reflects any changes in product design or production methods.
Inventory and Waste Management:
Ensure that materials are used efficiently and monitor waste or discrepancies
in the materials to prevent excess costs.
Compliance:
Ensure all BOM and cost analysis activities comply with company policies,
industry standards, and any relevant regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting,
Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in BOM management, cost
analysis, or production planning, preferably within the furniture industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of furniture manufacturing
processes and materials.
Strong communication skills, both written
and verbal, and the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
Ability to handle multiple projects
simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
A proactive attitude with a focus on
continuous improvement and cost optimization.
