Head Of Alumni, Industry & Development

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Head of Alumni, Industry & Development will report to Vice Provost of Academic Affairs, and will focus on promoting and developing positive relationships between VinUniversity and local and international industry, organization partners and students alumni to provide a wide variety of opportunities including internships, professional development, and graduate employment for VinUni as well as industry attachment for VinUni faculty members.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Plan strategically and implement industry and organization engagement activities, career services support for VinUni students and alumni, alumni engagement and fundraising activities
• Develop annual strategic plan and action plan for the Department, in line with the wider University strategic plan and action plan
• Establish, develop, and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with leading domestic and international employers to create internships, professional development, and career opportunities for VinUni students and alumni.
• Engage industry partners closely by working with these stakeholders to:
• Advocate, facilitate and provide opportunities for internships for VinUni students
• Involve VinUni students in business case projects and competitions regarding enterprises 'solutions for actual business challenges.
• Assist with co-creating program curriculum, or with the roles of industry speakers, affiliated faculty, advise certain courses and mentor VinUni students.
• Encourage industry partners to sponsor research projects that enterprises are interested in for VinUni faculty and students.
• Sponsor certain scholarships/financial aids for VinUni students who need financial support.
• Work closely with VinUni Colleges to understand College-specific needs and identify potential collaborations with industry partners based on the needs and requests.
• Implement career readiness program and workshops for VinUni students and alumni (resume, cover letters, internship and job application, networking, tests, assessment centers...), build content, materials, guidance.
• Arrange workshops to educate VinUni community about career development needs of students and alumni.
• Manage CRM system and Career Service Management platform and work closely with internal stakeholders (Colleges representatives) and external stakeholders to utilize system/platform effectively.
• Facilitate the development of framework and policies relating to students alumni engagement.
• Other duties as assigned by senior management.
