Team description:
External Relations is the management of communications and relationships between the organization and external stakeholders including but not limited to the government and media. External Relations aims to identify relevant external stakeholders and thus come up with appropriate engagement strategies to build a strong corporate reputation and support sustainable and healthy business growth while mitigating operational risks.
Get to know the role:
External Relations Intern is responsible for assisting the External Relations Lead and External Relations team in implementing external communication strategies and strengthening corporate communications to contribute to the business growth through our core capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Relations:
Conduct industry analyses, update the latest change in regulations, and keep track of competitors' activities on a daily/weekly basis;
Assist in collecting intelligence and updating information from stakeholders that enable the business to operate smoothly and effectively;
Assist in connecting with and informing stakeholders, from external newsletters, informal greet & meet, press conference, occasional gifting, sponsorship, and interactive events;
Update and find opportunities to partner with governmental organizations, social-political organizations, other NGOs, and relevant media outlets to promote corporate image;
Help implement ad-hoc projects to support corporate sustainability agenda and influence other departments;
Work with internal teams and outsourced vendors/agencies to ensure work meets quality, schedule, and budgetary requirements.
Communications Management:
Deliver sharp and convincing written communications such as press releases, corporate statements, pitches, and appropriately translate official letters and other legal documents from Vietnamese to English and vice versa;
Assist in providing policy and intelligence communication updates to support corporate business plans and priorities;
Support external communications projects that aim to leverage strategic partnerships to position BAEMIN as a responsible corporate citizen;
Support cross-functional teams in communicating with various key stakeholders to achieve mutually desired results.
Other tasks assigned by Supervisors:
Admin tasks;
Support logistics in gifting stakeholders and coordinate events organized by the team;
Additional responsibilities and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
3 rd-year student or fresh graduate in Communications, Journalism, Diplomacy, and related majors;
Having a strong interest in public affairs & public relations, stakeholder management;
Strategic thinker, good researcher, and analyst with the right judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities;
Great command of English and Vietnamese (with priority for translation & writing);
Proven experience in collaborating and influencing other people;
Ability to sense a bigger picture behind every story and be able to help translate it to relevant and engaging content for multi-stakeholders;
A friendly networker who can sympathetically work with different types of people and establish a relationship of trust at all levels;
Relevant experiences in communications, public affairs & public relations are a plus.
