Performance Analyst Specialist is responsible for analyzing financial, operational, and business performance data to support strategic decision-making. This role ensures accurate reporting of key banking metrics, compliance with regulatory standards, and provides insights to enhance profitability, efficiency, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Collect and analyze data from core banking systems, CRM, financial systems, and risk platforms
- Develop and maintain performance reports covering:
- Branch performance
- Loan and credit portfolio
- Deposit growth
- Revenue and profitability
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management and regulators
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness of all reports
KPI Monitoring & Financial Metrics
- Track and evaluate key banking KPIs, including:
- Loan growth & credit quality (NPL ratio)
- Deposit balance & CASA ratio
- Cost-to-income ratio (CIR)
- Revenue per customer / product
- Branch productivity
- Analyze performance vs targets and highlight variances
- Monitor trends in customer behavior, product performance, and operational efficiency
Risk & Compliance Reporting
- Support risk reporting (credit risk, operational risk indicators)
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., SBV, Basel standards)
- Assist in audit reporting and data validation
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field
- Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, FRM) is a plus
Experience
- 2-5+ years in banking analytics, financial reporting, or performance analysis
- Experience in retail banking, corporate banking, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) preferred
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, dashboards)
- Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Knowledge of core banking systems and financial databases
- SQL or data querying skills (preferred)
Banking Knowledge
- Understanding of:
- Banking products (loans, deposits, cards)
- Financial statements and profitability metrics
- Risk indicators (NPL, provisioning, credit scoring)
- Regulatory frameworks (Basel II/III, local banking regulations)
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking
