About the role:
As the National Field Sales Manager for the Hill's New Zealand business you will be accountable for recruiting, training, coaching and managing the local field sales team. You will be accountable to deliver the complete business plan for each account and retail environment nationally.
To be successful, you must embrace and drive excellence in execution across the key 6P elements. You will also be delivering required territory penetration frequency nationally, exploring efficiencies and opportunities to grow in effective coverage.
You will also be responsible for:
  • Territory design, coverage, and frequency
  • Manage territories to ensure maximum efficient coverage of all profiled stores, regularly reviewing to ensure territories are current and relevant
  • Engage with territory managers for regular input
  • Search for growth potential/opportunities in coverage, new stores/markets etc
  • Coaching on selling skills and technical training
To be considered for the role you must have:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Previous experience in a people/team management role in either Retail or Field Marketing
  • Ability to coach and facilitate training in a sales environment with the ability to identify team opportunity areas and build strategies to ensure high performance
  • Strong time and priority management skills
  • Tech savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems and platforms
  • Proficiency with google suite applications
  • Comfortable working in virtual environments
Skills & Experience:
  • Sales management experience in FMCG
  • Demonstrate skills in leading, coaching and directing a team
  • Demonstrate a track record in achieving targets and managing budgets
  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with others (internal & external) to meet customer needs while achieving Company goals
  • Strong commercial acumen
