Leader Microbiology

II. JOB PURPOSE
Responsibility for supervising and managing the microbiological testing processes to ensure the safety and quality of products, monitoring personal hygiene, GMP, and monitoring Bioburden.
III. MAIN DUTIES
1. Leadership and Team Management
- Provide leadership and direction to the microbiology team within the quality control microbiology laboratory.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure effective communication within the team.
2. Microbiological Quality Control Processes
- Oversee the development, implementation, and improvement of microbiological quality control processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, and good microbiological laboratory practices.
3. Testing Coordination for Microbiology
- Coordinate and schedule microbiological testing activities.
- Collaborate with other laboratory sections and departments to ensure integrated testing workflows.
- Monitor and optimize microbiological testing processes to ensure accurate and timely results
4. Data Analysis and Reporting for Microbiology
- Analyze microbiological test results and data to assess product safety and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing microbiological quality control findings.
- Communicate results to the supervisor, including production and quality assurance teams
5. Continuous Improvement for Microbiology
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in microbiological testing processes.
- Implement improvements and efficiencies in microbiological testing procedures and workflows
6. Training and Development for Microbiology Testing
- Provide training to laboratory staff, emphasizing microbiological testing methods and techniques.
- Support the professional development of team members in the field of microbiology
7. Equipment Management for Microbiology
- Oversee the proper calibration, maintenance, and operation of microbiological testing equipment.
- Coordinate equipment troubleshooting and repair activities specific to microbiology
8. Documentation Oversight for Microbiology
- Review standard operating procedures (SOP) and documentation related to microbiological testing.
- Ensure accurate and detailed records of all microbiological tests performed are maintained
9. Safety and Compliance for Microbiology
- Ensure microbiological testing practices comply with safety regulations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Good Microbiological Laboratory Practices (GMLP) and other relevant standards
10. Microbiological Risk Assessment
- Conduct risk assessments related to microbiological testing.
- Develop strategies to mitigate microbiological quality risks and ensure the safety of products
11. Problem Resolution for Microbiology
- Investigate deviations from microbiological quality standards.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for any microbiological issues identified.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve microbiological concerns.
IV. Work Relationship
1. Internal
-Laboratory Staff Lab QC
+ Work closely with laboratory technicians, analysts, and other personnel to ensure the proper execution of testing procedures.
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the laboratory team
- Quality Assurance Team
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that quality control processes align with established standards and regulations. Address and resolve quality-related issues in coordination with the quality assurance team
- Production Team
Coordinate with the production team to ensure microbiology monitoring. Collaborate on the resolution of quality issues that may impact production
- Technical Department Team
Collaborate with the Technical team to implement new methods and development, material, and packaging material, Provide input on the quality aspects of new development from microbiology test
2. External: Support Supplier Qualification and Audits
- Support manager QC for collaborating with the procurement team to qualify and audit suppliers.
- Ensure that suppliers meet quality standards and adhere to relevant regulations.
