We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Manager - Chemical Trading to lead
business development and drive the growth of our chemical trading business in Vietnam.
The role requires strong commercial judgement, market knowledge, negotiation capabilities, and hands-on experience in chemical or commodity trading.
Drive sales and business growth across manufacturers, distributors, and industrial customers to achieve agreed revenue, volume, and margin targets.
Develop and execute sales and market development plans for assigned chemical products and market segments in Vietnam.
Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities, strategic accounts, products, suppliers, and market segments to strengthen the company's market position.
Manage and grow key customer accounts while building strong, long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, principals, and other business partners.
Lead commercial discussions and negotiations covering pricing, volume, payment terms, supply arrangements, and other key trading terms.
Monitor and analyse chemical and commodity market trends, pricing movements, supply-demand conditions, competitor activities, and industry developments to support timely commercial decisions.
Provide market intelligence, sales forecasts, pricing recommendations, and commercial insights to support business planning and trading strategies.
Manage the overall sales cycle from opportunity development and quotation through order execution, delivery, payment collection, and post-sales relationship management.
Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Operations to ensure smooth order fulfilment, inventory planning, credit management, timely collection, and customer satisfaction.
Monitor business performance, including sales volume, revenue, gross margin, customer development, and account performance, and implement corrective actions where required.
Guide and support Senior Executives/Executives in customer development, market intelligence, sales execution, and achievement of commercial objectives.
Support the Senior Manager in business planning, strategic initiatives, regional opportunities, and other business development projects as required.
Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in chemical trading, petrochemical trading, commodity trading, or industrial chemical sales, with demonstrated commercial achievements.
Strong hands-on experience in chemical or petrochemical products and B2B trading is highly preferred.
Proven ability to develop new customers, manage key accounts, and deliver sales and margin growth.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related discipline is preferred.
Strong understanding of commodity trading, pricing mechanisms, supply-demand dynamics, credit considerations, and commercial practices.
Strong commercial judgement with good analytical and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to guide junior team members and coordinate effectively across different functions.
Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced trading environment.
Good command of Vietnamese and English, both written and spoken.
