Manufacturing Design Engineer-Battery

Process/Manufacturing
- Partner closely with Ops and Engineering teams during all phases of development and product introduction
- Work closely with suppliers to provide support and technical & manufacturing direction to guarantee their ability to meet Apple design, process, test and quality requirement
- Drive manufacturing, test and assembly process related technical and operational issues to ensure issue closure
- Drive design on all equipment/fixtures/tools requirements, along with assessment of the robustness of solution to meet operation requirements and implementation of any additional solutions to mitigate any risks
- New product OK2XX process review and approval
- Technical and Quality assessment of issue and drive FACA with the vendors
QUALITY/ANALYSIS
- Apply solid understanding of quality control and manufacturing concepts to develop specific Product Quality Plan (PQP) appropriate to program.
- Act as project manager to Coordinate all Quality functions is being in place at vendor sites.
- Actively participate in program planning and monitoring process and assuming responsibility for key quality deliverables at all milestones.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to vendor Quality Engineers to ensure the implementation of the PQP is in place and executed.
- Assist to establish audit procedures appropriate to program and supplier to ensure adherence to Apple quality standards.
