The goal is to create a user-friendly, visually appealing, and conversion-optimized website that encourages users to sign up and make purchases. Think of it as an Amazon-style website, but specifically designed for senior citizens in Japan.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced designer with a solid understanding of UX to join our team on a contract basis. The designer must be fluent in Japanese and have a deep understanding of cultural nuances to ensure the design resonates with the target audience. The website will be colorful and designed to encourage signups and subsequent purchases.
Responsibilities:
Design a user-friendly B2B ecommerce website that caters to the needs of senior citizens in Japan
Create engaging, colorful visuals that encourage user signups and purchases
Work closely with our development team to ensure seamless design-to-development handover
Conduct research to ensure the design aligns with the preferences and behavior of Japanese senior citizens
Apply UX best practices to enhance user experience, accessibility, and ease of navigation
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written)
3+ years of experience in web or ecommerce design, ideally in B2B or similar fields
Strong understanding of UX principles and best practices
Experience in designing websites that drive user signups and conversions
Familiarity with designing for Japanese audiences and understanding of cultural nuances
Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines
