True Strive is looking for a Vietnamese/English Translator/Translator Intern who will assist our company in translating all different types of materials from compliance documents and videos on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Convert materials from the Vietnamese language to English or in the opposite way (contracts, onboarding documents, resignation, or anything related to HR, company's videos, posts, on Social Media, websites...)
- Translate assorted types of contracts and agreements mainly related to legal, tax, accounting, and HR from English into Vietnamese and vice versa, with attention to fact and nuance, so that the intent and tone of the original meaning are preserved;
- Translate legal documents/legislations from Vietnamese into English and vice versa;
- Read given material and research industry-specific terminology
- Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations
- Edit content to maintain its original format (e.g., font and structure)
- Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
- Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy
- Draft, edit and update existing internal content.
- Keep updated with industry-relevant topics to capture new trends and news.
- Generate new ideas for content and research industry-relevant topics for the company blog and client ad campaigns.
- Other related works as assigned.
Skills, Requirements and Qualifications:
- At least one year of professional experience in translation in legal/accounting/tax/HR context for probation staff.
- Honesty and integrity are essential, long term commitment is critical.
- Willing to develop personally;
- Good general knowledge;
- Accurate, attention to detail, and responsibility;
- Able to work to deadlines and under pressure;
- Fluent in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Studies in a foreign university are preferred but not essential;
- For interns, less than one year is also acceptable for this.
