COMPANY INTRODUCTION

Emma was a newly employed Data Entry Administrator in Sharesource Philippines. I discovered that this new team member was in fact a highly educated maths graduate who was grateful to have a job with an Australian business, even if it was just data entry.
It seemed like such a waste of her talent when there was challenging work out there awaiting a super-smart STEM grad like Emma to do. All that was missing for her was the link to this opportunity. It was this moment that I knew I had to help make a difference and rethink the traditional outsourcing model.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Network Planner with Biarri Networks, you will work alongside the project team - Design, Technical, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Project Management. You will be responsible for assisting your team in the delivery of Fibre Network Designs for customers around the globe.
What are you expected to do?
Produce designs in accordance with the design processes outlined by the Lead Consultant and Project Design Lead, which meet the standards of quality required by the Project QA Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and staying up-to-date with all necessary design processes
Producing quality and efficient designs
Contributing to team discussions such as dailies, continuous improvement discussions, and project retrospectives
Basic understanding of Fibre Optic Networks
Access and use all applications required to perform Biarri Auto-Design work (QGIS, Sourcetree, Virtual Machines, VPNs, Confluence, etc)
Proficiency in use of internal tools to generate designs
Contribute to team culture, well-being, and making the workplace a better place for all members

REQUIREMENTS
You'll be a great fit if you have:
A graduate of Mathematics OR Electronics and Communication Engineering program
Other programs considered: Geodetic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information System, Computer Science, Non-Maths program with maths/logic course
A creative problem solver using technical/mathematical methods
Exceptional communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
Self-awareness and empathy to maximize your user and team interactions
Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop new skills and industry knowledge
A tech savvy
Technical Skills (advantage):
Experience with geospatial software: QGIS, Mapinfo, etc
Programming language: Python
Messaging and collaboration: Slack, Google Chat
Atlassian Products: Confluence, Bitbucket, JIRA, etc
Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc
Microsoft Office: Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc
