Key Responsibilities:
Create short and long-form content focusing on wages, labor laws, and career-related topics.
Research and analyze global news and events to inform content creation.
Use WageIndicator data to produce data-driven and original informational pieces.
Design simple visuals using tools like Canva to accompany content.
Promote published content via WageIndicator social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Plan and execute social media campaigns to increase engagement and website traffic.
Core Skills:
Strong writing and storytelling abilities.
Excellent research skills across a variety of topics.
Basic Canva skills for creating visuals and graphics.
Understanding of social media platforms and campaign strategies.
A keen interest in global news and enthusiasm for labor market issues.
Gig Economy & Market Research Intern
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and manage data on major gig platforms worldwide to build a global database.
Use online research tools (e.g., Google Alerts, Google News) to gather news, insights, and trends.
Collect case studies and examples of positive gig work models.
Review literature and legislation related to the gig economy.
Assist with presenting quantitative material through visuals.
Create social media content and commentary based on collected data.
Provide insights and synthesis of findings to support WageIndicator's projects.
Core Skills:
Proficiency in Excel and Word for data management and organization.
Passion for news, events, and global worker stories, with the ability to curate and present them effectively.
Willingness to follow structured work plans and collaborate on team goals.
Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking to present objective insights on the platform economy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build a collaborative working relationship.
Familiarity with Canva is a plus.
Fluency in languages beyond English is advantageous for accessing diverse information sources.
Data Analysis & Visualization & Market Research Intern
Key Responsibilities
Diligently learn the basics of Tableau through our training.
Collect, label, and clean data in Google Sheets or MS Excel.
Work in teams to create Tableau dashboards on the assigned data.
Derive key insights and trends from the created dashboards by fact-checking and researching.
Use Tableau dashboards to brainstorm data-driven content in collaboration with other teams.
Core Skills
Basic knowledge and understanding of Statistics/Data Visualisation including data types, charts, and measures of central tendency.
Basics of MS Excel/Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SPLIT, JOIN.
