The Sustainability Team is responsible for managing the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) impact for Grab. As a regional function, your work will cover all business entities - this includes global offices, 8 operating markets and Group-level entities. The team is responsible for planning, internal & external stakeholder engagement (including NGOs, corporate and private sector), project management, and subject matter expertise for ESG-related matters.
Grab is an MSCI ESG 'AA'-rated company.
Get to know the role
We are looking for a subject matter expert on environmental sustainability, who understands and want to solve for decarbonization and waste challenges. This person is also one who is keen to drive social and environmental change through technology.
This person could be described as:
Purpose-driven with an incessant need to grow, learn and seek creative solutions
Technical knowledge on environmental sustainability (e.g. basic carbon accounting, ISO14001)
Makes decisions primarily through data-driven, analytical and organized thought process
Creative and proactive problem solver
Strong communicator (orally, written and presentation)
Likes to collaborate and work with other internal and external stakeholders

The Day-to-Day Activities / Responsibilities
Planning and organizing
Develop and contribute towards proposals for environmental initiatives (mechanics, processes, impact measurement, etc)
Support planning for ESG plan and reporting requirements
Support multi-team stakeholder in environmental data and information requirements
Budget planning and management
Execution
Develop multi-departmental internal and external processes that are efficient and sustainable in the long run (e.g. financial reporting, data collection, etc)
Develop and review communications materials
Drive internal engagement and events to build awareness and action
External and internal monitoring of environmental policies, standards and competitive landscape
Improve data and methodology accuracy with latest learnings, standards and guidelines
The Must-Haves
Bachelor's Degree in environmental sciences/management, and/or related specialized credentials/training/experience in the field.
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in environmental sustainability consulting, management consulting or corporate-based environmental/ESG management.
Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards (e.g. GRI/SASB/TCFD), carbon management and circular economy.
