Operations Engineer Trainee

OPERATIONS ENGINEER TRAINEE is trained to advance to Operations Engineer in the future. The Operations Engineer Trainee has to go through the intensive on-the-job training both on the offshore rig and at shore based facilities. During the training period, the trainee is trained at various positions to make sure overall knowledge and experience is gained. Trainee has also to take tests and exams after each training module. The training period is about 2 years. Subject to the training results of the trainee, opportunities to work in the challenging and professional environment at the Company's office based in Ho Chi Minh city are available as well as working overseas.
1. Operations Management
• Assist Operations Engineer and his senior in daily rig operations.
• Assist in checking and following up on all reports and correspondence from the rig or client and ensure that they are acted on and replied to as necessary.
• Assist in ensuring that necessary materials, equipment, manpower & other services are ordered and available for servicing.
• Assist in HSEQ analysis of operational events and discussions with Well Engineering and Technical Services as well as Human Resources related to improve drilling operations.
• Assist in the preparation of rig performance (HSE & Operations) at end of well and at end of drilling campaign.
2. Bidding/Contract
• Assist in the preparation of rig bidding documents.
3. Document and Report
• Assist checking, updating & recording tubular, handling tools, drilling equipment, Marine Warranty Surveyors, and Class Societies' survey reports/certificates
• Assist checking, updating & recording rig drawings & vendor data books inclusive of rig modification projects
• Responsible for verifying that all required internal/external approvals are obtained before any external commitment is signed. Ensure evaluation, administration and approval of changes/ variations
