Work Location: Can Duoc, Long An. Having a shuttle bus to pick up employee from District 1 to work location at 7:30AM, it takes 1h - 1h30.
1/ Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities within the Shipment and Logistics department. The ideal candidate will manage the logistics of rice exports, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and efficient shipment processes while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with international regulations.
2/ Job duties & Responsibility
• Logistics Management: Oversee the end-to-end logistics operations, including shipment planning, transportation coordination, warehousing, and inventory management. Ensure smooth and efficient processes from rice exportation to delivery to international customers.
• Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other external partners. Negotiate and manage contracts and ensure that all parties adhere to agreed timelines and budgets.
• Shipment Tracking: Monitor and track shipments from dispatch to final delivery, addressing any delays or issues promptly. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on shipment status.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all shipments comply with international trade regulations, export laws, and industry standards. Oversee the preparation of all required documentation, such as export permits, shipping invoices, and customs declarations.
• Cost Control and Budgeting: Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost-efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. Identify cost-saving opportunities within logistics operations without compromising service quality.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of logistics coordinators and staff. Provide training and guidance to ensure all team members are knowledgeable and efficient in their roles.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess logistics processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows.
• Problem-Solving: Address any operational challenges or disruptions, including delays, supply chain issues, or damage to goods. Work with other departments to resolve issues quickly and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Customer Service: Ensure that customer orders are delivered on time and in full. Address customer inquiries or concerns regarding shipments, delivery status, and any issues related to logistics.
