PHP Developer MySQL, JSON

Five Group is the parent entity for a group of subsidiary engineering, surveying and architectural drafting companies across Australia and South East Asia, who provide engineering and other services to builders in Australia. We have around 600 staff spread across Australia, Philippines, and Vietnam.

This position requires you to work from our Structerre Vietnam office in An Hai Bac ward, Son Tra Dictrict, Danang city.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Developer, this position will work within our development team on in-house systems. The developer must be proficient with PHP and LAMP stack technologies and will be working to develop and maintain the Five Group's in-house back-end systems and APIs to specifications.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Plan, scope and size project work with a BPA & Project Manager;
• Develop and test to scoped specifications;
• Work with testers to ensure quality delivery & understand unit testing frameworks;
• Raise any emergent scope & project opportunities with the project manager;
• Be responsive to support issues with the assigned area;
• Be able to design monitoring & error management tools into any delivered work;
• Work with UX experts to produce end-user web-based tools;
• Other duties as required.

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology;
• Minimum 2 years experience in PHP, MySQL & Apache;
• Knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence + Big Picture;
• Experience writing and using JSON/REST based APIs;
• Ability to write well documented clean code;
• Experience with GIT repositories an advantage.
• Self-organisation and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and with others;
• Good communication skills, written and verbal;

You will be working from home then be based in our soon to open office in Danang city, with your other 8 colleagues in IT geographically spread across Australia, Philippines and Vietnam.
