The Supply Chain Planner / Analyst team members are responsible for supporting the broader Supply Chain function through operational / distribution planning, analytics, reporting, scenario modelling, and decision support activities.
Reporting to the S&OP Manager and working closely with the Operational Planning team, this role will contribute across a broad range of supply chain activities including distribution planning, supply chain performance reporting, master data management, dashboard development, and strategic scenario analysis.
The position plays an important role in supporting daily operational execution while also contributing to longer-term planning and optimisation initiatives across manufacturing, logistics, inventory, and customer demand.
The role will utilise systems including Power BI, ERP/planning platforms, and OM Partners (OMP) to deliver data-driven insights and operational support that assist the business in achieving the best outcomes for "Total Visy".
This position requires a highly analytical and adaptable individual who can operate across both operational and strategic planning environments, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Reporting & Analytics
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to support Supply Chain and
S&OP activities.
• Deliver accurate and timely reporting across key supply chain performance areas including:
Mill production
Customer demand
Inventory
Distribution and logistics performance
Service levels
Forecast accuracy
Operational KPIs
• Monitor and report performance against:
Monthly S&OP plans
Budget targets
Mid-month estimates
Operational and financial KPIs
• Analyse performance variances, trends, and operational risks and provide supporting commentary and insights.
Distribution Planning & Operational Support
• Support daily distribution planning activities across metro and linehaul freight networks.
• Coordinate the movement of:
• Recycled fibre to paper mills
• Paper reels to internal and external customers
• Assist with road freight planning while supporting rail and sea freight activities where required.
• Ensure inventory and storage facilities remain within agreed safe operating limits.
• Support continuity of supply by maintaining agreed minimum stock levels across the network.
• Assist in balancing freight lanes and supporting logistics network optimisation initiatives.
Scenario Planning & Decision Support
• Develop and run supply chain scenarios using OM Partners (OMP) and associated planning tools.
• Support scenario analysis across:
Manufacturing capacity
Inventory positioning
Logistics and freight constraints
Demand changes
Network optimisation opportunities
Supply disruption and contingency planning
• Evaluate operational, service, and financial impacts of proposed scenarios.
• Support management and executive stakeholders with ad hoc analysis and strategic decision support.
• Over time, proactively identify and present independent "what if" scenarios and improvement
opportunities.
Data Management & Governance
• Maintain and manage critical supply chain master data including:
• Run rates
• Bills of Materials (BOM)
• True costs
• Product and operational reference data
• Support data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across planning and reporting systems.
• Assist with system validation, reconciliation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement
• Liaise with key internal stakeholders including:
Visyboard box plants
Visy Paper mills
Visy Logistics
Supply Chain
Finance
Commercial teams
Support operational alignment between demand requirements, production capability, and logistics execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reporting capability, data quality, and supply
chain efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and supply chain optimisation initiatives across the business.
Yêu cầu
• Have at least 4 years of experience in a similar position, with strong English communication skills and proficiency in using English in a professional environment.
• Exposure to supply chain reporting, operational planning, or scenario modelling activities
• Experience working with ERP, planning, or business intelligence systems
• Experience analysing operational and business performance data
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Operations Research, or related discipline preferred
• Exposure to manufacturing, warehousing, paper/recycling, or FMCG environments highly regarded.
• Exposure to linehaul and metro freight operations advantageous.
• Power BI or data analytics training
• Experience in supply chain, logistics, planning, analytics, manufacturing, or operational support environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and visualisation tools desirable.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Commercial awareness and ability to interpret operational impacts.
