Process And Maintenance Engineer

1. Process Optimization
• Analyze and improve assembly processes for gearmotors and motor drives units to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assembly and testing processes, painting processes.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline workflows.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, yield, and defect rates, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize labor and resource utilization.
2. Equipment Maintenance
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for plant Utilities equipment, machines, assembly line equipment, including gearmotor assembly machines, motor drives testing equipment, and conveyor systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and spare parts procurement.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during maintenance activities.
3. Quality Assurance
• Work closely with the relevant team to ensure that assembly processes meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues related to assembly processes or equipment malfunctions.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address recurring issues.
• Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements
• Poka Yoke (error proofing) where possible to prevent errors
• Undertake special projects as required
• Manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Undertake continuous training and development
4. Training and Support
• Train assembly fitters on proper assembly techniques, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures.
• Provide technical support to the production team during equipment breakdowns or process deviations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
5. Project Management
• Lead sub-projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, or new product introductions.
• Prepare project plans, budgets, and timelines, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, production, and supply chain, to achieve project goals.
