What will you need?
We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, a related scientific discipline, or textile engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise in hardgoods and garment manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years at an
assistant managerial or leadership level within the European retail market or a third-party testing laboratory. You should have solid experience in the greater Asia manufacturing landscape.
• Technical Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for garments and hardgoods. You will interpret inspection and testing reports, and accurately read and interpret EU/US regulations, directives, standards, and technical documents.
• Interpersonal Skills: Be a collaborative team player with a proven ability to build relationships, establish networks, and gain credibility at all organizational levels. You will utilize your strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to effectively collaborate with others.
• Work Ethic: You must be able to work independently under pressure with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
• Communication: Fluency in written and spoken English and the local language is essential. German language skills are a valuable asset.
• Computer Skills: Must be computer literate.
• Travel: Frequent travel to factories is required.
