R&D Farm Manager (Aquaculture)

1/ Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced R&D Farm Manager - Aquaculture to lead the design, setup, and management of a Research & Development (R&D) farm for pangasius, tilapia, frog, and other aquatic species with a focus on global applications in Mekong Delta. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aquaculture, farm operations, and R&D, with the ability to conceptualize and execute innovative farming systems.
2/ Job duties & Responsibility
1. Conceptualize & Develop R&D Farm Blueprint
• Design and implement an R&D farm model for Pangasius, tilapia, frogs, and other aquatic species.
• Develop sustainable and scalable farming practices suitable for global applications.
• Integrate innovative aquaculture technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
2. Farm Management & Operations
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the R&D farm, ensuring optimal production conditions.
• Implement best practices for water quality management, biosecurity, and feed efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations.
3. R&D Leadership & Innovation
• Lead research initiatives to develop new farming techniques, feed formulations, and disease prevention strategies.
• Conduct experimental trials and analyze data to enhance farm productivity and sustainability.
• Collaborate with industry experts, universities, and global partners for knowledge sharing.
4. Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Establish quality control protocols for farm operations.
• Monitor and maintain high standards for fish and frog health, feed quality, and environmental sustainability.
• Implement certifications and standards applicable for global markets.
5. Team Leadership & Communication
• Lead and mentor an R&D team to drive innovation and research projects.
• Train farm staff on best practices and technical advancements.
• Communicate findings and progress effectively in English, both in reports and presentations.
