You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As an Wood Structural Designer, you will be responsible for handling certain structural projects and collaborate directly with our US stakeholder. That's year one. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Conduct the whole process of Wood Truss design under the supervision and support from senior members in your team
• Provide engineering services related to Simpson Strong-Tie wood structures for customers mostly located in North America
• Perform additional tasks as per requests by the team leader
You will be trained about Simpson structure components and internal design software.

Yêu cầu

If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:
• Bachelor Degree with major of Civil Engineering or in other relevant majorities related to Construction
• Less than 2 years of experience, especially in wood truss design is an asset
• English skills: Fairly good command in English (Reading and Writing), or equivalent to TOEIC 550. Comprehend construction documents including architectural and engineering drawings
• Be able to work independently as well as be a team-player
• Ability to respect tight deadlines and work under pressure
• Good organizational skill with sense of carefulness is highly required
• Acquire windows-based computer skills (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD
• Be familiar with using wood truss design software (Mitek's, ITW,...) is a great advantage
