Regional Finance Controller SEAPage Group Vietnam

A newly created position for an technically strong Finance Controller to be based in HCMC. A remit which includes upwards of 10 countries, in a rare opportunity to be based in Vietnam.
Description
As a key person in the management team, this position is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of financial performance, focusing primarily on compliance related matters in the region such as internal controls, balance sheet reviews, maintenance of GAPP, and pricing/approval matrices. The Regional Finance Controller will provide in-depth analysis and technical support to ensure financial statements are accurate at all times and in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP rules.
The Regional Finance Controller will also be required to provide financial management support for locations where finance resources are not yet available and manage the financial integration of new territories.
* Ensure timely and complete monthly and quarterly reporting, at Regional and Sub-location level as required for statutory and management purposes.
* Ensure accurate balance sheet reporting through detailed periodic reviews of all legal entities within the Region to proactively manage and avoid exposures and ensure all reconciliations are performed and addressed.
* Manage the periodic audit process for all entities within the Region
* Act as technical accounting expert to support finance teams within the Region and be the point of contact with the Group Finance team for any accounting matters.
* Review and continually improve revenue and cost recognition processes, ensure appropriate communication of changes across all departments.
* Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects upon request from Regional CFO, SEA including due diligence and business planning for future acquisitions, set-up of new entities and direct support to sub-locations as required. Providing / suggesting solutions to countries on balance sheet, cost, or compliance related matters.
* Ensure compliance with General Affairs Policy and Procedures (GAAP) by the functions in the Region.
* Assist in financial modelling necessary for business development, including costing for new products or new projects, investment of new business units, return on capital investment.
* Assist and participate if and when required on Global Finance Transformation, Digitalisation projects or Restructuring exercises.
Profile
* ACCA, or CPA Qualfied
* Big 4 experience preferred, but not essential
* Previous experience in a technical, accounting regional role
* Strong understanding on IFRS principles
* Willing to be located in HCMC
* Prior experience working for large global organisations
