Role & Responsibilities:
Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position) :
As part of the Global Materials Supply (GMS) Team, The Regional Material Manager will lead the GMS Bangladesh team that services all Apparel & Equipment products within Global Packs sourced through the Asia Sourcing Office Region. The individual is responsible for coordinate with different brand manager for creating the Brand Material Sourcing strategy and managing an efficient material supply model that ensures quality, cost and timely delivery of all raw material. The leader is responsible for building and developing a cohesive materials strategy that maximizes "One VF" scale in leverage through analytics and brings a procurement mindset to the organization. The role has extensive focus to operationally connect with Brand, Sourcing, Suppliers, Finance, Quality and Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability organizations. The Materials Leader is viewed as a key thought partner to bring an innovative and creative solutions culture to the region to solve complex material supply issues. Lead and develop local GMS team to create synergy across function and regions.
Key Result Areas:
• Build the long- and short-term APAC regional material supply strategy for TNF factoring in footprint movements, supply models, lead times, profitability, sustainable materials, brand and sourcing needs
• Partner cross-functionally with VF Materials Labs, Sourcing and Quality Leaders in managing all aspects of material quality from establishing guidelines to delivering product to factories
• Responsible for managing material development and capabilities through supplier research and partnership in collaboration with Brand Design and Product Development Teams.
• Responsible for managing and owning China region supplier relationship and building supplier partnerships in the brands
• Ensure reliable delivery of material on time for production by working closely with material suppliers and finished goods vendors
• Act as the key liaison for Product Development in TNF and Sourcing management within APAC region, apparel and equipment materials supply related topics.
• Build innovative solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, agility, lead-time, etc.
• Partner with functional leaders on Compliance and Social Responsibility, to ensure VF standards and requirements are met within the group's material supply
• Actively support sustainable material roadmaps through identification of supplier capabilities, capacities and innovative sustainable alternatives
• Accountable for all people related activities such as hire, train, manage and develop the talent in the team
• Drive high team performance. Provide support and coaching to develop the teams. Motivate and foster collaboration to promote team culture & spirit

Experience
Minimum Relevant Experience:
7 years of experience in Apparel, Footwear, Equipment materials and/or Sourcing and Supply Chain organizations but not limited to.
Minimum Supervisory Experience:
Proven record of leading teams
Nature of Work:
Materials Sourcing, Apparel industry relevant experience
Academic Qualifications
Minimum Degree Held: Bachelor's degree, College graduate or equivalent work experience
Subject Expert In: Textile, Engineering, Supply Chain, but not limited to
Certifications Required: N/A
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English
Specific Working Conditions
Frequency of Travel: Infrequent global travel
Other Specific Working Conditions : N/A
