The International Schools Partnership (ISP) are currently looking for someone to fill the Regional MIS Specialist role to join our truly international Technology team and support our continued growth.
Responsible to: Regional IT Manager
Responsible for: All Regional Schools & Offices
Based: Vietnam
The MIS Specialist is a hands-on role, focused on supporting and developing our core MIS System "iSAMS" across all ISP schools in Vietnam. The post holder will be involved in training our school teams' on iSAMS, ensuring all are following best practices set out by the Group MIS manager for standardised use and
consistent reporting. Along with the day to day support and management of iSAMS, the MIS Specialist is expected to lead on new implementations of iSAMS within Vietnam as well as driving new initiatives such as a Self-Assessment Rubric.
The post holder will be expected to build a close working relationship with all schools technology teams as well as the local ISP Team. This role may include travel to all schools and offices on a frequent but as required basis, providing support and training where necessary.
We aim to build a global support structure throughout ISP and expect that our team to collaborate and assist other regions where the opportunity arises. As part of the global Technology team, the holder will be expected to work closely with peers in other regions to support creative thinking and drive consistencies and efficiencies globally.
Key Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
• Support and develop iSAMS within Vietnam & Thailand, ensuring the system is used efficiently and effectively.
• Assist with continuous training and development for key iSAMS users.
• Lead on embedding of best practices for iSAMS use and reporting functions.
• Project manage all iSAMS implementations within the Vietnam & Thailand.
• Support the regional ISP team on all iSAMS matters.
1. Manage the training and development of iSAMS MIS in Vietnam & Thailand.
2. Support and train school Data Lead and ICT Team on iSAMS.
3. Lead the delivery of tailored iSAMS projects where required.
4. Dedicate time evenly between all schools and regional office. Working onsite where possible.
5. Hold regular meetings with school Data Lead & ICT Department and report status.
6. Manage all iSAMS support queries, escalating to Vendor where necessary.
7. Ensure iSAMS is setup and configured with security in mind, leaving minimum
risk of data breach.
8. Work closely with the infrastructure team to regularly monitoring the performance of iSAMS.
9. Provide advice and guidance to the school management on effective use of systems.
10. Show a willingness to work flexibly, sometimes outside of normal hours, in response to service demands of the schools and regional office.
11. Willing to travel frequently between schools within the region.
12. To suggest additional resources / systems our schools could use to improve efficiencies.
13. To undertake available training opportunities and demonstrate a commitment
to continuous personal professional development in ICT.

* Minimum Educational Qualifications Required for the Role: Degree level within IT or relevant professional qualifications in field
* Minimum Years of Experience Required: 5yrs work experience with at least 3yrs in the K12 education sector
* Language Skills: Fluency in English is a must
* Skills and Abilities:
Previous working knowledge of School Management
Information System
• Report writing
• Microsoft SQL management experience
• Project management expertise
• Systems implementation
• DBA experience a plus
• Excellent soft skills
• Competent systems trainer
• Ability to work independently and motivated to drive projects with autonomy.
• Able to exercise independent judgement and act on it
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
