Mô tả công việc
Position Summary:
1. For FOB shipment (Destination Control Accounts, Geneva Control Accounts), obtain full details from shippers/ other sources i.e. full style address, commodity, rates (if any) and send them as sales leads to respective parties (DCA / GCA) for them to secure business;
2. For CNF shipments, offer market competitive rates to secure cargo. In case rate request below tariff are received, to request Trade Manager to send the rate request to respective Geneva' line managers for approval;
3. Maintain the close relationship and get full support from the clients with regular visits and entertainment i.e. lunch, dinner etc... within budget to enhance opportunities of getting required business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Visit / canvass cargo for assigned trades to achieve target lifting.
• Maintain the current clients and at the same time increase MSC presence / share in the market.
• Search for, identify, and develop sales leads from lists, publications, and given information (e.g. referrals, newspaper, magazines, MSC's network, internet and telemarketing) to increase market share in the territory.
• To introduce my MSC / Intra portal to existing / new customers.
• Identify and analyze customer needs and develop sales proposal, in line with Geneva pricing strategy.
• Monitor sales activities for existing clients of both OCA and DCA business to ensure continuation of bookings with MSC.
• Co-ordinate with TMS / OVA for free-time application and facilitate resolving of customer dispute
• Managing customer's complaints and assist trouble shooting
• Co-ordinate all FOB nominations and ensure local agents/ shippers are serviced nicely.
• Monitor FOB activities which include liaising with POD agent on weekly prospect, space utilization and availability
• Monitor Mother vessel capacity together with Trade Manager (Example: iSpace and Cargo Updates).
• Perform data entry for long term prospect into system
• Prepare checklist and pre-shipment booking list on the mother vessels.
• Assist Trade Manager on market study and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth running of operations
• Gather data on market trends and developments, competitors, customers, etc. and prepare standard analyses
• Compile and follow up on sales leads
• Liaise with CS on bookings
• Send Daily / Weekly report to all concerned relevant parties.
• Assist and support Trade, Customer Service Manager's functions in their absence.
• Perform any duties as assigned by Trade Manager / Chief Commercial Officer.

- Internal: MSC Geneva/MSC ARO Singapore/Local Trade Managers/Customer service/Documentation/Finance
- External: Shippers/consignee/terminals/depots

Minimum Diploma in any discipline
Minimum 1-2 year of experience in service-related industry

Strong MS Office software application
Strong written & spoken English skill

Have self-drive and passion to deal with people
Able to work independently
Adaptive
Key Performance Indicators / Measures:
