We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our business in the Indian market. The successful candidate will drive sales strategy, develop tailored tour programs, manage a high-performing team, and build strong relationships with key clients and partners in the travel and tourism industry (including leisure, MICE, FAM, and VIP groups). This role is critical to expanding market presence, achieving revenue targets, and enhancing our company's brand in the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Company Representative to develop and expand the Indian market, including participation in travel fairs, sales calls, and promotional activities.
Design and create attractive tour programs and packages tailored to the needs of the target markets.
Lead the Indian (including South Asian) team: provide training to new staff, monitor workload, and oversee the design of packages, tour programs, and competitive quotations to secure business.
Prepare quotations and manage MICE, FAM, and VIP groups; personally handle or closely oversee important and high-value trips.
Maintain strong communication with client partners, nurture relationships, and resolve any issues promptly.
Coordinate with the Operations department and suppliers to secure the best rates and conditions for specific bookings or overall market competitiveness.
Monitor tours in progress to ensure all tours run smoothly and meet quality standards. Advise on issue resolution, and provide on-the-ground support when necessary.
Prepare and submit regular monthly, annual, and ad-hoc performance reports to the BOD.
Actively contribute to company and brand awareness initiatives.
Undertake any other duties related to product development or sales as assigned by the BOD.

Proven high expertise in sales, with a strong track record in the travel and tourism industry (experience in MICE, group tours, or destination management is highly preferred).
Excellent leadership and team management skills, including training, mentoring, and motivating staff.
Well-organized with outstanding communication, persuasion, and interpersonal abilities; able to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with excellence in problem-solving under pressure.
Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible and willing to travel frequently within India as required.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with travel booking/CRM systems is an advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in travel sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial or team-lead role, preferably within a Destination Management Company (DMC), tour operator, or MICE-focused organization.
Proven track record of successfully closing B2B deals, developing tour programs, and achieving sales targets in the Indian inbound market.
In-depth knowledge of the Indian travel market, MICE segment, group travel dynamics, costing, and supplier negotiation.
Strong existing network with travel agents, corporate clients, or partners in India is highly desirable.
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential; knowledge of Hindi or other Indian regional languages is a strong advantage.
