Sales Manager at Hyatt House South Melbourne
An exciting pre-opening opportunity exists for a Sales Manager to join our team at Hyatt House South Melbourne. This role offers the unique chance to be part of launching the Hyatt House brand in Australia, with the hotel scheduled to open at the beginning of 2025. Based on site in South Melbourne, the Sales Manager is a key and critical role within the Sales & Marketing team, responsible for proactive sales, maximizing total revenue potential for the hotel across MICE market segments and groups with a business focus on both retention and acquisition as well as;
Assist with setting up the Sales & Marketing department during pre-opening
Prepare personalised submissions for all leads
Actively cross-sell Hyatt House's facilities and other Hyatt properties
Attend major travel and trade shows and corporate functions to promote the hotel
Develop networks with relevant industry sources for site inspections and group leads
This is a great opportunity in a pre-opening team for someone who is willing to contribute in successfully setting up finance department and enthusiastic about learning/acquiring new skills.

Your background:
To be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:
Previous sales experience within hotels and accommodation / events
Sound knowledge of the corporate and leisure marketing segments
Strong attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills and time management skills
Confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure
Exceptional people management and interpersonal skills along with strong communication
