Language Link is currently seeking an Academic Coordinator (AC) to join our public schools program, Schools Link!
Schools Link is Language Link's highly successful English language education program in Vietnamese schools. We currently have more than 180 foreign English teachers teaching over 32,000 students in Hanoi's urban districts.
Start Date: May 2024
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: competitive & commensurate with experience

Contract Hours
The AC is contracted to work on-site, 44 hours per week, normally from Monday to Friday. Work on weekends if required.
Qualifications and skills
- A bachelor's degree;
- At least 1 year of experience in academic management;
- At least 3 years of experience in teaching young learner and IELTS (preferably in public schools);
- A CELTA (or equivalent) teaching certificate with teaching practicum;
- Strong knowledge of academic standards and curriculum development;
- Detail-oriented: ensure every academic task and process is handled with accuracy and attention to detail;
- Excellent leadership: guide, motivate, and support academic staff (Regional Head Teachers and teachers) and students;
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: build and maintain relationships with partner schools, students and other stakeholders.
Job Description
Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, designing, and implementing academic programs, teaching standards, and Secondary and High school student learning outcomes. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Developing and implementing academic curriculum, educational programs and projects;
- Coordinating with team members to align the curriculum with the educational objectives and goals;
- Monitoring student and teacher progress and providing feedback;
- Conducting workshops that help teachers develop specific competencies to improve their teaching;
- Reviewing and updating academic policies and procedures;
- Maintaining records of academic performance, progress, and attendance;
- Handling issues and supporting staff within a designated region of the program;
- Mastering the IELTS program by being involved in observing, and attending workshops for IELTS teachers;
- Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of staff;
- Assisting in developing/ preparing successor(s) for the RHT and AC positions;
- Supporting/ being involved in school outreach events (i.e. school assemblies, competitions, parent workshops);
- Providing cover when required;
- Up to 20 teaching hours a month.
