Job Description
Our client is a foreign-invested company, now looking for a Senior
Business Development Executive (Steel, 1550 USD, ID21570):
Develop and expand the partner network: Proactively identify and establish a network of steel material suppliers in Vietnam, as well as approach potential customers in the construction industry (distributors, processing factories, contractors, etc.).
Execute and drive the commercial plan: Schedule regular customer visits/meetings to ensure sales targets are achieved and exceeded
Manage negotiations and transactions: Work directly with manufacturing plants to negotiate production costs, place orders, coordinate delivery schedules, and resolve post-sales issues.
Market analysis and forecasting: Closely monitor steel price fluctuations, inventory levels, and changes in Vietnam's steel industry policies; provide important reference data to support sales and
purchasing decisions.
Cash flow and risk management: Ensure timely collection of customer payments and control financial risks by negotiating flexible payment terms when necessary.
Operational optimization: Coordinate closely with the supply chain and Logistics teams to minimize transportation costs and optimize delivery lead times.
Requirement
Male, Female, < 40 years old
Professional Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in sales or steel purchasing in the Vietnamese market
Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of at least one key product line: Hot-Rolled Coil (HRC), Cold-Rolled Coil (CRC), Rebar, or H-beam/I-beam steel. Candidates with knowledge of other steel products are also welcome. Must clearly understand the quality standards, pricing, and applications of products from different steel mills.
Commercial & Market Skills: Strong understanding of pricing mechanisms (mill list prices, actual transaction prices, and cash discounts). Demonstrated ability to independently source customers with a success rate of over 100%, handle issues effectively, and negotiate flexible payment terms under contracts.
Language Skills: Good working proficiency in English is required. Chinese proficiency is highly preferred, particularly for working and reporting directly to the management team.
