Senior DevOps Engineer Oracle/MySQL

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database administration, performance tuning, and query optimization techniques.
• Manage and maintain our on-premise infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and storage systems.
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
• Deployment Automation: Create and maintain automated deployment pipelines using industry-standard tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ...) to enable continuous integration and deployment of software systems. Ensure proper configuration management and version control of code, database schemas, and related artifacts.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions for optimization.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will report directly to the Line Manager and will possess the following attributes:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in managing and supporting databases in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of database management systems, such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience in implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures and plans for databases.
• Solid knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
