KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
To ensure smooth functioning of the local IT function, provide the necessary support in educating the users in the organisation and minimising any IT related breach / damage that may arise.
1. Ensure function of all local IT related matters and engage in effective incident management
• Provide day-to-day IT support for end-users, including troubleshooting hardware,
software, and network issues
• Maintain local IT infrastructure, such as network devices, and end-user equipment
• Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents, when ServiceDesk unable to solve issues
• Escalate unresolved issues to the global IT team when required, ensuring timely
communication
• Participate in post-incident reviews and improvement plans
2. Ensure compliance with global IT standards, policies, and procedures
• Deploy and maintain systems, tools, and updates as defined by the global IT team
• Adhere to global cybersecurity and compliance guidelines
• Localize global initiatives (e.g., translations, adapting to local regulatory requirements)
• Share best practices & collaborate with other local IT teams in the region to standardize
approaches
• Supporting regional IT initiatives led by the Asia IT team through regional collaboration
3. Provide user training & support to the local users
• Educate local users about global IT systems, tools, and security practices.
• Provide training during system rollouts and upgrades
4. Ensure effective inventory & asset management
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets
• Ensure proper lifecycle management of hardware and software
5. Maintain effective vendor and external party coordination for procurement, warranty claims,
or repairs as directed by the global team.
6. Build strong relationship with the local management team to ensure IT services meet
business needs, communicate IT goals, priorities, and challenges in alignment with global
directives and act as a bridge between local business units and the global IT team.
7. Manage Capex & Opex budget and
• Ensure alignment of spending with global financial policies and strategic priorities.
• Forecast and plan IT spending for projects, upgrades, and routine operations
• Provide regular budget reports to Local management and Global IT
8. Local server room management:
• Maintain the physical and environmental conditions of the local server room (e.g.,
temperature, humidity, and cleanliness)
• Perform regular inspections to ensure hardware (servers, storage devices, network
switches) operates optimally
• Coordinate with global IT and vendors for hardware installations, upgrades, or
replacements
• Ensure proper cabling, labelling, and documentation for all server room equipment
• Manage backup power systems, such as UPS and generators, and test them regularly
• Implement access control and security measures to protect the server room

Yêu cầu
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
• 5 years of experience in a similar capacity in a multinational environment
• Proficiency in supporting operating systems and basic understanding of enterprise IT systems & collaboration tools
• Knowledge of network fundamentals and Routing Protocol
• Experience in troubleshooting hardware, familiarity with global ticketing systems
• Strong communication skills (spoken and written) in English and Vietnamese and the ability to converse well in Chinese would be advantageous
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Customer service mindset and ability to handle user frustrations
• Project management skills
• Understanding of data privacy laws, software licensing, and local IT compliance requirements, basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practice,s and familiarity with global IT policies
• Knowledge of disaster recovery plans, business continuity protocols, and crisis management
• Knowledge of server room design, cooling systems, power management, and equipment lifecycle management.
