Key Responsibility:
• Execute the Manufacturing Excellence priorities, in line with the global sourcing strategy and the objectives of Footwear category in terms of Quality, Costs and lead times.
• Process optimization and transfer management
• Standardize, Document and Deploy current & future Industrial processes.
• Cultivate a strong Lean & industrial mindset in our Footwear Sourcing Centers and assigned Partners' factories
• Level-up Industrial feasibility and support further implementation in our FSC's and assigned Partners' factories
• Lead Transfer & Multi-sourcing and SOP deployment in our FSC's and assigned Partners' factories
• Lead continuous improvement focusing on Key Franchise Model, without compromise on Quality
• Lead Transversal project such as Sustainable Material running change, Standardization & Automation, traceability...
• Works with manufacturers and suppliers in research of technical applications and processes
• Work towards integrating sustainable practices into manufacturing processes to align with environmental goals
• Drive key projects across all phases, from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with Manufacturing Excellence priorities
Key Competencies:
• Able to work within Project timelines without compromising product quality.
• Coach FSC, Partners and HQ to integrate LEAN
• Facilitate collaboration between factories, industrialization, Material, Quality and production.
• Has a complete understanding of footwear processes and timelines (eg. molds, lasts, components).
• Can cooperate and communicate well with an internationally diverse group of colleagues in the FSC (footwear sourcing center) and in HQ; is able to work closely with suppliers and factories.
• Keep confidentiality in professional way.
Responsible Sourcing/
Purchasing (RPP):
• by working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and responsible purchasing training/capacity building (at least annually)
• by adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy
• Preferably holds a degree in a post- secondary discipline (e.g. associate degree, B.A etc.).
• At least 10 years experiences working in the shoe industry in a technical capacity
• (Strong understanding of footwear manufacturing including pattern-engineering,
• mold-making, grading, materials processing etc.).
• at least 6 years LEAN footwear implementation experiences
• Curious to learn of new technology, process, automation, machinery etc.
• Capable to answer and focus on manufacturing feasibility.
• Open-minded, thinking out of box
• Knowledge of chemistry background will be a plus
• English level fluent in terms of listening, speaking and writing
• Good IT-skills (e-mail, MS Office, Excel, Adobe, power point) etc.
