The Senior Software Engineer is a crucial role, responsible for collaborating effectively with key stakeholders, product management mates, designers, and fellow engineers to establish and implement best engineering practices. IN DETAIL, YOUR SUCCESS IN THIS JOB WILL BE
Efficiently design, develop, optimize and maintain code that is both reusable and scalable, utilizing cutting-edge technologies with a focus on Node.js and AWS services;
Rigorously conduct code reviews to uphold code quality, enforce coding standards, and ensure that best practices are consistently followed;
Proactively participate in the planning and execution of software development projects, accurately estimating timelines and providing essential technical expertise;
Collaboratively work with the DevOps to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, enhancing operational efficiency;
Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of backend services,
addressing scalability and efficiency concerns as they arise;
Diligently stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, offering recommendations for improvements to the backend architecture;
Optionally contribute to the development and maintenance of frontend components using modern technologies such as React.js, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS, if applicable;
Supportively mentor or pair with less experienced developers and actively engage in knowledge sharing within the team, fostering a collaborative learning environment;
Timely and efficiently troubleshooting and resolving technical issues;
Fruitfully guiding a project team of developers in an agile development environment, effectively collaborating with Product / Project Manager to manage all processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS JOB
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
Above 5 years extensive proficiency in backend development using Node.js, Express.js and experience with AWS services;
Some experience with frontend technologies, including React.js, Next.js, is a huge advantage;
Proficient in a variety of Database Management Systems, including but not limited to SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis etc.;
Skilled in using version control systems, with a specific focus on Git proficiency;
Experience with CI/CD tools, pipelines and continuous delivery practices;
Strong understanding of unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and debugging tools;
Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures;
Experience with analyzing, monitoring and optimizing system performance;
Proven knowledge of diverse programming languages such as Python, Go, Java etc. and frameworks such as Django, Flask etc. is an advantage;
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest web development trends and best practices;
Good communication, with the ability to understand business requirements and comfortably discuss ideas;
Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global environment and agile project setting;
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and accuracy in work delivery;
Demonstrated ability in mentoring and managing multiple projects simultaneously will set your application apart and give you a distinct advantage;
